One day, I woke up.
Or I thought I did.
Because it took another four years to realize and accept I was still a victim of the lifelong conditioning I believed I had escaped; another 15 years to break through its many illusions, and another 2 years to arrive at the door of certainty, clarity, and a new life.
Many claim to be “awake” because they see something about that illusive Truth most do not. But you’ve simply woken up from your journey down the dragon’s throat, while still on route to the gastric fluids in the pit of its fiery belly. You just don’t see it—yet.
Independent Journeys is a free publication of around 11000 words that twines through events before and during my 21-year transformation from ape-person-thing to human-thing (according to present calculations). A kind-of (mini) mini-memoir, if you like, a peek into my inner, private sanctum, that will—or should if you’re a human being—strike similar chords with your heart as we view the world, and more importantly, ourselves through the lenses of creative prose, poetry, and short fiction, polished with a few drops of research, and carried in a weather-beaten rucksack of personal experience.
Observe how the inner journey dances with the outer one, breathing life into Fedup Sheep.
And by the end, you’ll know:
• Enough about me, where I’ve come from, and how I got here.
• What I write, how I write, and why I write what I write and how I write it.
• What my work can, or might, do for you.
• And why you should join the one and only Fedup Family.
Start journeying upward, traveller!
