Our Work
We view the world from a different place through the lenses of creative prose & short fiction, poetry & non-fiction.
Ignoring the etiquettes of political-pseudo-science-AI-fact-checker-official correctness, and preferring the rugged journey to the truth.
It says: look at the world around you, understand your place in the bigger picture, and reach for the higher ground—always.
What the FaQ!
At first glance, there’s not much too it. But put it under a microscope and a secret world pops into view; a story, drawing us into its mysterious depths. And should we spend enough time here, another secret is revealed, this time to the eyes of the heart — the story about ourselves.
If I had to sum things up in one sentence, it would be this:
Fedup Sheep is the art of being in the technocratic age.
This is not about anti-tech, as that’s just stupid, but “when technological advancement is equated with the advancement of human consciousness, as though written into humanity’s constitution by default, then, instead of reaching for the greatest heights, we have, in fact, fallen into the greatest deception.” (quoted from the essay: Something to Graze On. Click the button to read it.)
Fedup Sheep is neither a magazine, an e-zine, nor a journal. It’s neither books nor news nor anti-news, nor a chronicle nor digest, nor blog. But a bit of all. Fedup Sheep is… well… Fedup Sheep. Providing a unique experience through a blend of topics and writing styles. Get a feel for how we do things with our free three-part series, Independent Journeys (keep scrolling).
We take the heat generated from this state of general irateness and transform it into positive action through the written word. “The pen is mightier than the sword,” and all that. It’s also satirical. Discover the whole story in part three of Independent Journeys.
Broaden perspectives. Open minds. Some kind of positive change. But we don’t fool ourselves.
To think we can change the course of things is ignorance of the gravity of our situation, as a society.
To think society is going to change is turning up the nose to the lessons of the past, and lunacy.
But individually — now that’s a different story. This is the connection we’re interested in.
And from there, who knows what might happen?
We’ve just got going, and kinks need ironing out.
High-quality merch (caps, T-shirts, mugs, etc.) is in the works.
The future will determine if we can run free poetry (and maybe short fiction) competitions.
The same future will determine if we can help publish works of family members (that’s you!).
So stay tuned for these.
See, The Fedup Experience for more details.
If you’re content with being treated as a lesser species, like to be wooed by flashy-flashy, are satisfied with the official version of things, and can’t wait for the next best thing, then maybe you shouldn’t bother.
Or maybe you’re on the fence about all this? That something’s not right, but (shrugging)… “Hey, what can I do about it?”
Or maybe you’re just looking for something different to quench your inquisitive thirst?
That’s why there’s that free three-part series we spent friggin’ months and months, leading into a year, and which circumstance dragged into more months of writing, and mentioned like a million times now, Independent Journeys (see below). It’s a direct download, no email required, no registration, no sign up. Take your time with it, then decide if you’re ready for the next move.
