Translations

This website is translated using Google Translate. And we would like to continue this trend with our offline publications (PDF), and in other places our writing is on the internet (for now, Substack1 and Tuhat).

Maybe you already have your preferred way of translating things, like with Chat-GTP, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, or others, and what I’m offering for online translations (Brave Browser) is just an option. No one is obliged to use it, but it does have a level of privacy second to TOR browser, and also has its own wallet (useful for the Stablecoin payment option. See Fedup Payments).

But for the PDF publications and books, please respect my wish and DO NOT USE Chat-GTP, Gemini, Grok, etc. for translating my work as this is pasting it directly into the command line that uses whatever’s there to train the LLM models, for data-sharing with third parties, and is even sold. Instead, use Proton’s Lumo AI Assistant (free).

Of course, there’s no way to prevent you from using other AI assistants, but just keep this in mind:

It’s taken me more than two decades to get to this point. Everything I write is from personal experience, sacrifice, and hard work. And either you respect my wish or you don’t. The choice is yours, but it does define the kind of person you are.

Online translation (optional):

  1. Download Brave Browser. It’s available for Android, IOS, Linux, macOS, and Windows. Get it, here.
  2. Once installed, click on the hamburger menu (Desktop) or three dots (Mobile) and go to settings, then translation. If it’s deactivated, activate it, and chose your language/s.
  3. And now you have an online translator that will translate every page on the internet with the click of a button (except for what’s in images, of course).
  4. Explore the other features (Shields, etc) to get back your privacy.

The PDFs:

Go to Proton’s Lumo, here. You’ll get the best instructions by asking Lumo, but basically: Upload the document (or copy-paste it) >> ask Lumo to translate it>> copy the translated text into whatever editor you use (Word/LibreOffice, etc.) >> format it to the size of the cover image provided (Digest) >> print it. And now you are on your way to being the envy of your family and friends with your translated Fedup Sheep collection.

Just be aware that:

  • Images in the document will cause issues with the translation. If there are images, then copy and paste the text in sections. You can always add the images later.
  • The free version of Lumo has a daily limit, but it serves the intended purpose for our short works (publications). For books, you may have to do parts over several days.
  • Poetry is always tricky with translations, and the meaning may or may not seem strange in your language. I’ve only tested it with Spanish (because I speak it), and the translation was spot on, the meaning was even caught well.

Important:

Please be aware that although you now have a document that’s different from the original, this DOES NOT give you permission to present it as your own, sell it, distribute it, or mass produce it. I’m simply giving you permission to translate it for personal use.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
