Argentina (where I live) suffers from an economy as stable as a rusty bucking-bronco in a derelict amusement park, and where the rules have changed every time we get up in the morning. Our options are limited as far as accepting international payments are concerned, monitored (and even frozen) by government agencies, and even more limited (and more frozen) when acting as a non-business entity (such as yours truly).
We also take into consideration that things in niche groups, like ours, are always priced for niche incomes, and very often those who could benifit from something are actually excluded from it. We have learned this from personal experience. What to some is affordable, to others is the difference between eating that week or not. So, at Fedup Sheep, we price everything as follows:
- Monthly Publications: $2
- Books, collections, etc: $3 / $5 / $8, depending on length, research involved, etc.
While we’re working on getting everything under one roof, in other words, everything into one checkout experience, for now, and after almost 3 years of research into finding some-kind of solution that works for me, while offering you several options, we’ve opted for the combination of: Fourthwall, and MoonPay Commerce.1
- Via Fourthwall we can accept: credit/debit cards, PayPal, Cash App, Google Pay, Alipay.
- Via MoonPay we accept USDC & USDT on Polygon, Solana, and USDC on Base.
Fedup Sheep does not operate with cryptocurrencies. I don’t personally, and due to the fluctuating nature of crypto, I certainly wouldn’t with my business, that operates on micropayments.
If you really, really, really need to, we can offer bank transfers in USD, BP, Euro, CAD, NZD, AUD, ZAR, but the process from payment to receiving your Fedup publication isn’t automated. It might take a long time (anywhere from several hours to a week), there may be hidden fees (from the bank’s side), and some banks may even disallow the purchase. If this is your only option, send me a message, here.
Pros & Cons
Fourthwall
Pros:
- Familiar checkout experience.
- Various payment options.
- You get an email with the download link.
- Taxes are automatically added to the price.
Cons:
- Taxes are automatically added to the price.
- Payment processing can take time.
- Data tracking, monitoring, and recording.
- Doesn’t operate with some countries.
- From my side: the fees swallow 30-35% of the cost.
MoonPay/Stablecoin
Pros:
- Low transaction fees, called “gas fees.” (a few cents)
- Decentralized.
- Wallet-to-wallet transaction.
- Payment processing in a few seconds.
- No data to track/financial privacy.
- You go directly to the document link after purchase.
- From my side: the fees are just 2%.
Cons:
- Has a learning curve.
- Needs two “currencies” to operate: the stablecoin for the purchase + the native currency for the gas fees.
- Due to ever-greater government regulation, on-ramping and off-ramping now requires proof of identification (KYC). But there are still no-KYC options (peer-to-peer), though fees are higher and so is the minium amount to purchase.
Personally, we prefer Stablecoin because it fits in line with our policy regarding privacy and (greater, but not total) financial independence (including no-KYC onboarding and offboarding). No one can shut down accounts2, freeze transactions, hoard the money, or hold anyone hostage, like with conventional payment methods.
We will encourage (but never force) our Family members to adopt Stablecoin as the means of transacting with Fedup Sheep.
Should you wish to donate to Fedup Sheep, you can do so directly (from the donations page):
- Via PayPal, and pay by card or whatever other option PayPal gives you in your place of residence.
- Fouthwall might offer some other options that PayPal doesn’t.
- In USDT & USDC. The various addresses are given in the dropdown menu.
MoonPay Commerce opens doors… but they also work with conventional payment methods, and although they operate in many countries, they are obliged (by law) to not operate with certain countries (US, EU, UN sanctions, etc.). Under such circumstances, we’re out of options (for now). Our prices are microtransactions and offering crypto options, like Monero or Zcash, is not feasible because of the manual work involved in verifying payments, getting your email, sending you the link, and the fluctuating nature of crypto.
In the future, we plan to put Fedup Sheep on the dark web. Not a total migration, but an extension, an option, while still maintaining the original site. This will eliminate all privacy concerns and allow anyone with an internet connection and some spare change to interact with and purchase from us.
Should any changes, upgrades, or progress be made on our payment methods, we’ll update this page and keep Family members informed through our newsletter, Bleet!
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Fedup Sheep
1 There are other, more decentralized options, offering me more control, and both of us more privacy, but they all require programming knowledge, which we don’t possess. Something I’m looking into it.
2 PayPal froze, and then closed, my business account even before I had a single transaction. No explanation, no means to contact them except through their AI assistant, which was as exciting as speaking to a USB stick. Stripe (the payment gateway of Fourthwall) can freeze, and shut down any account should their AI determine, for instance, the content been sold falls under the ever-broadening umbrella of “offensive.” If you’re familiar with my work, you will understand my concern with this one, and my preference for Stablecoin.
